Wiscasset ? The Wiscasset Board of Selectmen has invited MaineDOT to present proposals on new, non-bypass alternatives to address major traffic delays and safety concerns in the downtown.

What: Selectmen meeting regarding proposals to address major traffic delays and safety concerns in downtown Wiscasset.

When: Tuesday, March 8th at 6:00 p.m.

Where: Wiscasset Community Center Gymnasium, Route 27, adjacent to the Wiscasset High School

Perham ? An informational public meeting on the replacement of the Spaulding Brook Bridge in Perham will be held at the town office on Thursday, March 17th at 7:00 p.m.

The Spaulding Brook Bridge, carrying High Meadow Road over Salmon Brook, will be closed to traffic during scheduled construction beginning in mid-July of 2017.

Representatives from the MaineDOT will be on hand to discuss the replacement of the bridge this Thursday, March 17, 2016 at the Perham Town Office located at 206 High Meadow Road.

Pittsfield ? Due to a recent failure of a joint on the bridge that carries I-95 northbound over the railroad in Pittsfield, crews have instituted a lane closure in order to perform remedial work. Additionally, work will be performed to the bridge that is adjacent, carrying I-95 northbound over Route 152. All work is just north of Exit 150.

Traffic will be allowed to flow in both areas using a single lane.

Work began this week with the anticipated completion date of April 8th.

Motorists are advised to stay alert and to reduce speeds within the work zones.

Augusta ? Crews will be back reconstructing Mount Vernon Avenue in Augusta on Monday, April 4th.

Mount Vernon Avenue is being completely reconstructed as part of a $2.9 million project. The work requires one-way alternating traffic with flaggers that will assist motorists through the work zones.

Lewiston ? Crews will be performing maintenance work on the Wiseman Bridge on Chestnut Street in Lewiston beginning Monday, April 11th.

This work will necessitate a short detour for vehicular traffic utilizing Canal Street, Cedar Street, Lincoln Street and Main Street.

During the approximately four week closure, pedestrian access to the bridge will be maintained as crews work to repair the concrete on the arches of the bridge as well as repairing the sidewalk, curbing and bridge deck.

Due to a severe crash involving multiple vehicles, Route 302 in Casco is closed.

Emergency personnel are detouring traffic from Route 302 to State Park Road onto the Songo School Road then back to Route 302.

First responders along with the Maine State Police are on scene reconstructing the crash and expect the closure to last several hours.

Commuters are encouraged to seek an alternate route.

Kittery ? Crews will be performing bridge testing on the Piscataqua River Bridge in Kittery beginning on Monday, May 2nd.

The activity will be on the approach to the bridge on the Maine side. Travel will be restricted to two lanes both north and southbound between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The project will take place from Monday, May 2nd through Thursday, May 5th.

Motorists are advised that slight delays are possible.

The Piscataqua River Bridge carries Interstate 95 over the Pascataqua River connecting Kittery, ME. and Portsmouth, NH.

Bangor ? CPM Constructors continues to work on Interstate 95 during the overnight hours on the Union Street Bridge project over I-95 in Bangor. This work involves closing one lane of traffic at a time northbound and/or southbound to allow for construction to take place safely between the hours of 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Work will be phased to allow for only one lane to be shut down at a time. The current closure schedule for the week of May 1st is as follows:

Sunday, May 1st: The southbound travel lane, southbound on-ramp and the northbound travel lane will be closed.

BANGOR - Representatives from the S.E. MacMillan Co. announced today that they have chosen the upcoming May 6 weekend to close a section of Interstate 395 and replace the Webster Avenue Bridge. The contractor will seal off the section of the highway between I-395?s Exit 1 and Exit 2 starting Friday at 8 PM. Conditions permitting, the contractor plans to reopen the I-395 stretch at 7 AM on Tuesday, May 10.

Sabattus ? Crews will be reconstructing 0.42 of a mile of Pleasant Hill Road in Sabattus as well as repairing a slope failure along the westerly side of the road beginning on Wednesday, May 4th.
