Upcoming Pause in Configuration Changes
As previously communicated, the Office of MaineCare Services is launching an upgraded MIHMS, our claims processing system, in October 2026. To support system readiness activities, MaineCare is temporarily pausing the implementation of configuration changes from the end of August to the end of October.
Coding and NDC Requests
Continue submitting coding requests to OMS.referencefile@maine.gov and NDC/J-Code Requests to MaineCareNDCrequest.DHHS@maine.gov. Requests submitted by August 19, 2026, if approved, will be implemented no later than the last synchronization on August 25, 2026. Continue to submit these requests as usual after these dates. MaineCare will review and document change requests beginning at the end of October.
Rate Change Requests
Continue submitting rate change requests as usual to MIHMSRateRqst.DHHS@maine.gov throughout this period. MaineCare will review and document change requests as appropriate for implementation beginning at the end of October.
Claims and Billing Inquiries
Continue directing claims and billing inquiries to Provider Services at 1-866-690-5585. We will continue reviewing claim denials to determine if a configuration change is needed. MaineCare will review and document change requests as appropriate for implementation before the configuration pause or beginning at the end of October.
