Section 43, Hospice Services: Final Draft Rate Recommendations and Comment Summary
The final draft rates and a summary of all comments resulting from the February kickoff and public comment meeting are available on the MaineCare Rate System Reform webpage. The comment summary includes the Department’s responses, with an explanation of whether and how feedback was incorporated into the final draft rates. MaineCare considered all public input received. We thank all those who contributed.
Background
- MaineCare initiated this rate determination in December 2025, pursuant to P.L. 2025, Ch. 388.
- On February 12, 2026, we held a public kickoff meeting and presented the draft rates for public review and comment.
- Following the public meeting, presented materials were posted for public review and written comments were accepted until the deadline of February 26, 2026.
The new rates will now move through the legislatively mandated rulemaking process, along with any other potential changes that were discussed at the kickoff meeting.
