Section 43, Hospice Service Rate Update, CR 143684
Effective October 1, 2026, MaineCare updated Hospice rates to align with Medicare’s most recent update. We implemented new rates for billing on November 4, 2026. The fee schedule is available on the rate setting page of the MaineCare Partner Portal.
Adjustments for affected claims with dates of service October 1, 2026 - November 4, 2026:
- MaineCare will adjust paid claims submitted with charges at or above the new rates.
- Providers are responsible for adjusting claims submitted with charges below the new rates. Per policy and to avoid timely filing denials, adjustments must be submitted within 120 days of the most recent claim payment date.
